Personally i think you can do alot more things with photshop,but gimp is much easier for me..

Also,i like how you do the effects in the avatars you make :3

No its not free, it costs quite a bit i actually use photo shop CS4 but elements can do it too. CS4 costs 2k AUD and elements cost like 500AUD
