Not bad, but the renders are really boring D: you should make the floor reflective and add some color and interesting lighting. Do you use Blender?

Yeah, I use blender sometimes but most of the times, maya and 3ds max.
I'm noob at those, though.

I started making my first plate-ish set.
Head is done.

Woah, the purple insides look awesome.
Great shading, too.
The only thing I don't like is its eyes, try making them look a bit more serious.
And a glowing effect will definitely make everything better.

Naruto: I love the head and eyes are very nice, But may I suggest maybe adding some sort of "Feathering" to the under layer of purple maybe making it look like it kind of lights up I think it might look nice
