Many animals eat both meat and vegetables, but I don't think there have been any studies to see if animals can consciously become vegetarian, if that is what you mean.

Gorman, Although I've never heard of animals being consciously vegetarian, It may be possible since animals can be consciously homosexual. Saw on a documentary about animal mating habits that "An estimated one-quarter of all black swans pairings are homosexual and they steal nests, or form temporary threesomes with females to obtain eggs, driving away the female after she lays the eggs." So, I guess if they have the choice for male or female, Surely they would be able to have the choice between meat or vego? Just a thought.
