Secret Santa 2024
Original Post
The Jolly Olympics

Hello and welcome to The Jolly Olympics, an event which strives to bring out the best out of the most skilled players in Toribash. The competition will be tough, which is why only some will even be accepted to participate in this event. The challenges you will face will test your experience and knowledge with the best official mods, as well as keep you entertained.

Structure:

There will be 4 sections: Singleplayer ( replaymaking), Aikido / AikidoBD, Taekkyon / Kickbox, Wushu/Brushu.

You can only apply to one section of course, so it would be best to pick the one you are best at. Also it doesn't matter how many participants will be in the first round, there is no fixed number of spots ( meaning there could be up to 41 members each section or even more)

The challenges and their rules

1.You must post a single replay abiding to your challange before the deadline. You can change your entry until the respective deadline, but you must post again with it.
2. Do not post a replay in a section you are not listed under.
3. When you post a replay you must specify your section and under which challange you put it.
4.I would like an opinion regarding the current challanges and if they were too easy or hard when you post your replay ( not necessary but welcome)

There will be a secret prize at the end of MP rounds and the SP rounds

Note: I personally tried all these in order to have them balanced.

Application
(closed)

I am still a little confused about the aikidoBD challenge. Do we hold the first turn then we can do whatever we want? Or do we hold the whole match or something?
\o\ | ORMO | OSHI | OLDA | [duck] | Team Canada | Maple Syrup United | Team Philippines | [UssR] | Anime United | /o/
So I can either do the aikido challenge...or the aikidoBigdojo challenge?

Well I did each one like 6 times so.....

Then you are not allowed to move, hold or relax any arm joint ( wrist, elbow, shoulder).

Size 7 bolded answering your stupid question for one challange ( you can read for the other one). I mean c'mon....

You can pick one challange there ( either aikido or aikido bd). You can't enter both ( I thought I said that).

You could say the opposite and it'd be true as well. "Then", it... implies... steps... eh... well, whatever. Irregardless, good to know my replay is valid then :3
ok i have my entry for wushu, it was a nice improvisation that ended up very well, i made it inside the wushu ultimate room.

Im going to post the replay here when i get inside my other pc.

i have to say i enjoy the contracted ankles and wrist, maybe you could have also add a contracted neck. It would make the openner harder. Good rules choice.
The cons is that i think replays should only be got via ultimate wushu room. It has to show skill, and some random person can use a friend to make the best replay and i don't think that is the overall objective. In other words, some people may turn this into a single player replay just by telling a friend what to do.

/edit: i dont have my replay after all... the replay saver only saved the begginning of the match, in other words i only have the openner ... So fucking stupid that when i click F and save, it doesnt save everything.

It's Mr.AkumaBeast for you! oh and...
Check my inventory if you wish to buy flames.
Zal: Just a question for the tk challenge,"Counter must begin after opponent begins his attack" does this meen we have to relax our first turn?
A true replay maker only knows blood, sweat, tears and glory...ALSO failure, ALOT of failure.
also i sing harshvocals n stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keIOUNr_PAM
Swex: Nope, you can set up your counter from the first turn. You just can't launch it until the opponent begins his attack, that's all.

Akuma: I don't think that will happen to be honest. I know pretty much most of them and they aren't the type to chose cheating for an event over their honor. Nevertheless, if I suspect anybody of directing their opponent then they will be banned from my events no matter what section they are in.

Anybody is free to post complaints or suspected foulplay here. It would be great if they did it with proof such as screenshots, etc.
Zal, if I skeetcap using a kick do I have to be facing away on the rip as well (when I rip my hand off) or just when I kick it
