I don't get how it's missappealing and generally wrong lel

lets just say, during the time i was into bboying and hiphop dancing overall, it was only hiphop/rap music. anything with bass was considered stupid.
its probably just me though. i grew up with it. i cant help it.

True hiphop is about freedom that means you can dance whatever you want to whatever music you want. It can be break beat, funk, rap, trap, dnb, "radio songs", metal really anything you wish. If someone says it's stupid then they have no idea about hiphop culture at all. Ofc there are some kinds of music linked to hiphop but no one will have problem if you like something else ;)

i figured. once, long time ago, i did actually do hiphop dancing thingies. idk what the proper name is for the actual dance, but i was really young, and so was the group i was in. we always had hiphop playing in the background, and therefore most got a picture of "hey we dance to hiphop, it's the only music you can dance this way to". it's stupid, indeed. i just grew up in that direction, and even though i know it's stupid and straight up retarded, i still find it more fitting, for some reason.

Sure thing, I usually dance to break beat, funk and hiphop but when you learn to actually understand and feel the music then it's a different thing. For example that video, Rytm Ulicy is great contest it has great energy from people (that energy is going thru dance, hype etc.) and so is that music used here. So i think it actually fits pretty well.
