Some moments you must share. Moments that are so amazing, so rare, they must be passed on because they are too life changing to be relegated to the experience of one person. Such an experience I must now impart to you my dear waffly reader. To truly get the most out of the experience you must be in my shoes, or rather wet work boots on pedals, as I glide my bike through the sidewalks of the local college. Exhausted, drenched, and entirely ready for the weekend I was suddenly granted a vision. Was it good karma that brought it? Perhaps a favorable alignment of the stars. Less grandiose, but more plausible, I was in the right place at the right time.

What is it about young Japanese women in the rain? They are like flower buds waiting to open in Spring, and also like drenched kittens. But yes the vision! More than just a vision really, because I could smell the delightful scent of wet girl on the air. They seemed to suddenly be everywhere, like worms driven out of the earth by the downpour, but so much more compelling. In disheveled clingy attire, tiny skirts flouncing over bare legs, they surrounded me. Rather I entered them, gliding effortlessly into their midst, slow as I could go and still press forward. Oh cruel bicycle that rolled me on and would not allow me to stop in bliss forever.

Perhaps this is too vague for you to feel the moment. You have imagined this as a tidal flat of oysters, waiting only for you and your trusty shovel at low tide. Now let me present a more specific case: three oysters, shucked on a plate, saying "suck me down, sweet and juicy, I dare you". So were the three Japanese girls, all in tiny skirts, squeezed together under one umbrella, who giggled when they caught me looking back wistfully as I passed.
