Because Retribution, while being a good clan, is not as good as Core, in my eyes. Plus, merges don't go well.

That's simply not true.
This is a merge, therfor all of our members will combine regardless of belt.
We are not trying to come in here and take your high belts. We would take everyone and wouldn't leave anyone behind.
