Welcome to the 4th rendezvous with realism!
This time we have to do with a crazy Double helix wheel kick:
Goal: you will make a replay reproducing the helix kick, interpreting the movements of the martial artist you can see in the video.
Rules:
-No hacking.
-No editing other ppl's entries.
-You can post as many replays as you want.
-No mods, but you can set the value of gravity at will between classic and sambo parameters.
-No more than 1500 frames per replay.
-Dt 100 or higher.
-You can switch your replays how many times you want before the ending of the competition.
Evaluation criteria:
- Precision and accuracy of the execution. Since you are allowed to interpret the move, you may come out with something original, different from the video, so your unique execution style will be taken into consideration.
- Impact (The hit causes a dm or not? Is it clean?).
- Madmanning uke after the impact will not give u extra points, a pose will.
Judging: I will judge your replays.
Prices:
First place - 60k
Second place - 30k
Third place - 10k
End: 30 of july.
Special thanks to the Promo Team, sponsor of this competition, and to all the members who suggested amazing moves for this comp, in particular to Oracle, who posted the helix kick.
This is a pure skills demonstration, I am expecting great replays. Good luck to everyone!
The closest replay atm is squiziph's one. You don't have to rush, you can even post works in progress here if you need advices, but you have to pay more attention to the video, take your time and concentrate on the setup of the move: you need a lot of momentum to spin while keeping your legs wide open.
ughh mine i flew uke up in the air first so that ill kick him above not below and then decapped him but this doesnt look like one of the videos am i right?
paid close attention to the vid...darn this is difficult. Went for the heelkick and sweep kick variation, and as in the video...there is no uke around :P
Edit: added a version with Uke contact....and another one..

<Alan> lol, rutz, it might be cool to smell your ass all the time you touch the mic
spry: you should make another 180А spin to hit uke with your heel, but you're still kinda close.
reimar: i doubt you made that replay for this comp, it has really nothing to do with the vid.
Rutz: like spry you made a 360, while the "double helix" requires a 540А spin. Also, not hitting uke is allowed, but not rewarded ;P
edit: something a little basic, is it close to the idea or am i missing something?
If you make a 360А spin in the air, you cannot hit uke with the heel of the correct feet, you need to make a 540А rotation, to pull your kick while you're giving back to uke, in the last 180А rotation.
Oblivion: that wasn't hilarious
Oblivion: it was brilliantly complex though
Oblivion: hands down man
Oblivion: today I genuinely believe more than I ever did before
Oblivion: that you are better than me
