Yeah most people are elitist in Guitar Hero. Rockband has smarter people playing it (trust me). And in fact, those are the people who typically suck. I've been playing Guitar Hero since late '06 and I've never been stuck up about it.

I love these kinds of people they make being good at competitive games worth it. Especially when they get really mad.

Unreal Tournament 2004 has a surprisingly small amount of elitists. The only unnerving opponents I can think of are those who complain about every piece of weaponry the winner is using, and they don't qualify as elitists as much as they qualify as morons. (PART OF THE GAME, PART OF THE GAME)

CoD4: Well yeah. Elitist pricks are everywhere. They often have a very specific way of playing and if they encounter an experienced player or otherwise someone that tends to move out of the regular pattern, they'll quickly find something to slam them about.

"Hurf u cowerd stabing me in the back".
"Well good sir, I find it hard to feel bad about that incident when I fought my way behind enemy lines, sneaked up in your nest, dodged both your claymores before cheekily taking out the sniper that kept us from advancing. I guess that makes me a bad person."

(Normally I don't have the time to write that so I'll just retort with "lol". That also works, in it's own way.)

Odd... I would have reversed the two. I never find elitists in CoD4, only morons. Most people recognize that CoD is a more team orientated game so they shrug it off. The helis are the only thing that bring out an elitist. That and air strikes.

I find tons of elitists in UT2k4 because they spend hours perfecting shock combos and then promptly fail in the face of a skilled lightning gun user. Or a rocket spammer. Or a flak spammer. Or just any spammer in general where the weapon can either instant kill or bounces you around.

But F2P games always have shitloads of elitists <.< They're too cheap to buy an actual game but they bitch on how everyone can't afford a better internet connection.

I actually know one he has actually given himself the title of no scope king, Capture point king, stuff like that. A typical conversation goes like this:
P1: Wow I'm doin' pretty good.
Him: Your at a negative kill death spread fag, you suck ass.
P1: Ehm, K?
Him: Thats what I thought bitch.

Yeah he has a couple of buddys like that. Almost every match I've played outside of a party has had an elitist... But I don't play outside of a party that often. Or maybe I'm just unlucky. Chromehounds thats another one. I actually recived a message after losing of him ranting about how much I sucked.

I rarely encounter elitists, what with me not playing online a lot, but when i do, they generally anger me. But, on the positive side, it's insanely awesome to hand their asses to them on a silver platter, after which they either shut up or start bitching. Demonstrating ones own superiority over an elitist (if possible, that is) is one of the more fun aspects of online play, if you ask me.

That said, it'd still be better if they never were elitists in the first place.

In Gears of War 2, people get mad when you "two-piece" Which is meleeing them, to weaken them then shoot them with the shotgun. Supposedly it's a bullshit method.
Point is, anything you do to an Elitist will instantly appear to them as bullshit, because they are simply the best of the best and cannot be stopped by anything. (Run-on is epic)

Totally. Except I don't keep up my noble character, I usually copy what they say when they were being all elitist and crap.
