I celebrate Christmas as the birth of my God (Please don't turn this into a religous discussion we've had too many of them). The gifts are just a bonus. Personally, I don't really approve of no Christians celebrating Christmas. I know they have the right but it's kind of intruding if you ask me.
Hm, not everybody in our family is religious but we think of it as a time of getting together and celebrating the past year. The family custom and togetherness overshadows the religious aspect. I don't think anybody in our family considers the non-Christian relatives intruders. Just a different viewpoint, I guess.
What I said about intruders seems to have come out wrong. I'm not saying that I despise them for celebrating Christmas. I'm saying that they are celebrating a religous holiday that isn't even theirs. If they want to do it I don't mind it just shows how the amount of concern for religous independence has decreased seriously in past years.

On a sidenote: Doesn't it seem weird that people from many religions celebrate Christmas but there are no other holidays where many religions celebrate it? There don't seem to be many Hindu's and Christian's celebrating Hannukah for example.
Obviously they don't practice Judaism because if they did they would know that Christmas celebrated the birth of (in their view) an impostor of their God who they later had a hand in the killing of.
