I stopped watching the Anime many years ago, the games however i still get, and i don't know why. I have Blue, Ruby Sapphire and Emerald, Leaf Green and Fire Red, and Diamond And Platinum. They're the same thing over and over and over again, but it's so goddamn addicting, and it pisses me off

I know what you mean all too well.
It starts with playing those mind numbingly amazing games. Then you start to watch those equally mind numbing and heart touching episodes. You just can't stop. I still am slightly addicted to the games, from a competitive aspect though, just to battle my team.
When I was on a hardcore addiction, similar to yours, I went as far as to begin adding onto my already colossal set of cards. I have two binders that could break your toes full of those cards if dropped from chest level.
So yeah, it's a painful addiction, but eventually you will grow bored of it. Trust me.

i watched the anime, bought the cames, got the cards. i still play the games, i still have my binders full of cards up, and i still like the old-school seasons of the anime. hey, i even tried playing the card-game with a friend.
