I mean, dont delete the new layer, delete the WHITE ONE

and if u turn off the opacity, create another layer, and design in the new layer that's all

You HAVE to add an Alpha 1 layer, or else it the transparent or deleted or wtv the crap you did to the image will just show up white.

If you're saving it as a PNG (or GIF) then the others have got it right.
