Proper grammar and spelling and so hard to use. As for words such as thus. Yes, I use them in real life. Especially in arguments. If I am elaborating an argument words such as thus convey the argument's premise and flow.

Speaking properly isn't hard and it makes debates easier to read and follow. Even though this is nowhere near a proper debating arena.

Whenever I type "'tis", I normally think it in real life.. Sometimes I say it in real life, and yes, I'm american.

My formality is schizophrenic, so... if that bugs you, please, please, PLEASE do absolutely nothing about it. I talk like this because it's more amusing to talk in backwards run-ons and obscure idiomatic phrases.

There's absolutely no reason to speak in iambic pentameter, but there's no reason not to (besides it being moderately difficult). I see no problem with purple prose and occasionally find it rather amusing.
