Secret Santa 2024
Doesn't work for me. Doesn't fix the shader - problem.

Nah, I'm kinda disappointed. The 3 main things all wanted to see:

- environment
- 2v2
- shaders

Only the environment works. Shaders fuck up 70% of our pcs, although they support shaders 2.0. 2v2 obviously itn't ready, yet. Wtf? The servers crash, the download - area doesn't work..
I like the new features, like the new login, like the worldbuild, like the.. umm... thats it. It's not like 3.0 is bad, but it's not as great as I hoped it'd be. Why didn't they make a beta for testing - purpose? Maybe then they'd notice that 3.0 isn't stable enough. *moans*
they did make a beta, they just didnt realese it to the public
<Shlimby> lol, no Ad, just stop seeing those melons

I'm really disappointed in you. First off, 70% of the people who played toribash before 3.0 didn't know what their graphics card was. Most of them have integrated graphics cards that don't support shader 2.0. They didn't need to know this because toribash was so CPU heavy. Also, Nabi Studios is a small, new company, so don't expect them to be able to support all chipsets (especially ones from the before time...). The servers only crash because 3.0 was so popular with everyone. You barely experienced a server crash, and you never got a forum crash, with versions 2.x. The only reason 2 v 2 isn't out yet is because the servers were down for so long. They can't set up a 2 vs 2 server with all these Facepunch people crashing the servers out of their sheer weight now can they?

I should have answered those questions too. If there's anything else you all want to whine about, please feel free to PM me instead of posting a new topic. These threads about "my login doewsn't wowerk!@#!@#!" and "omgwhere thee 2v2!!@?" are really annoying, and I'm pretty sure the mods know the answers.

Ask around in IRC for 3.01 download. It really doesn't do much, just so you know.

I actually don't care much about the 70%. Fact is, that shaders were announced. Fact is, that 2v2 should be in.

Now you understand what I expected as I first ran Toribash 3.0.
What did I get? The shaders crashed my Pc instantly when turned on. The long awaited 2v2 - feature was missing entirely. My graphic card supports shaders 2.0, at least that's what the description said. I reinstalled everything, I checked the settings, I tried the fixes: Nothing. I searched for 2v2. Nothing. Nowhere. I only got to know that this feature actually exists as I read a post here on the forums telling people that the servers aren't configured for 2v2 yet. The worldbuilder wasn't there, also, btw. I had to search for it.
Compare what I expected to what happened.

So why are you disappointed in me?

Because I expected the things you announced and didn't get them? I understand that you, I mean the Tori - Representatives, aren't to blame for the server crashes. But when you don't give people what you said you would, don't expect them to say 'Well, okay.'. Concerning the 70%: I meant the ones capable of using shaders. Including me.

So instead of offending me and all the people who didn't get what they wanted to see, try to understand US. When the new, fixed version, of Toribash 3.x will be out, I'll write my opinion on that thing. I only judge what I see. And I didn't see much. I don't care whose fault it is, I just didn't get to see the things I wanted and was, as a result, disappointed.
