The details are okay I guess....but they can definitely be improved by reducing how much you got going on there.
Since the density is so high, each little spike doesn't get that many pixels. I think you can still catch the idea of the head with just 1/3 of what you got there. Sure, it might require more thought on placement, but it will looks nicer on the tori. Also, reduce the density/increase size as you go up the texture so it doesn't meet at a huge clusterf**k at the top. Polar mapping is an option too if you can.
The set is okay, hands should have some humanlooking form though.
I'm wondering why so many people haven't starting making body textures in at least 256x256. Wasn't there an announcement on 512x512 textures in one of the next updates?
Making in 512x512 wouldn't be bad since eventually, you'll get to use it. Plus until then, you can still see it yourself by manually placing the textures in. It might make the whole set look more matched up too. You really can tell the difference between head and body, even at the lower res screens.
Not a bad set though.
