I think that US youth is actually quite smart, but their parents seem to fail when it comes to academics and general knowledge as the video shows...

I can tell you that Europeans like to mock America's traditional and patriotic attitude, it's such a thing of the past.
I mean I personally think it's ridiculous and retarded too (nothing personal etc.)

Ofcourse I doubt that more than 60% of you Americans are like that, right?

Also, like shook said earlier, your average European is spoon-fed that all Americans are either hicks, hipsters, or perfect people. It's exactly the same here in the Netherlands.
Stereotypes still apply though, if you ask a random Dutchman what comes up in his/her mind when you say America, they're probably going to answer either glamour, or idiocy.

Those videos are pretty funny, but really, you can find idiots everywhere.

Also, most of our sitcoms do suck.

Urrrrgh, i hate stereotypes of all kinds with a passion but as the video shows, they have to have some basis in reality, however i would REALLY like to believe that this is just a tiny majority that does not reflect on the whole of the country. not been there myself to find out but i hope to visit at some point.
and like war hero said you can find idiots everywhere, not to mention the horrendous cliches lurking about as well :S

Honestly, I'm an American myself, and the majority of America sickens me. Their ignorance of other cultures and their all-around stupidity galls me and makes me ashamed to admit I'm one of them.
