I don't like animal cruelty, people believe that they are more superior than an animal. I have no respect for people who harm animals for no reason or for their personal enjoyment.

God. I could not watch either of those videos. It's just too horrible. There should be a fine at a minimum. And possibly jail time. And I'm not talking about some small fine. I mean like a really big fucking fine. This is awful. People should not be on this earth if this is how people treat other creatures.

Yes, and thousands of animals get boiled/chopped/diced alive in the factory farms due to a complete failure to maintain slaughterhouses. Plus the farms throw useless animals into a meat grinder and trash compactor.

TBH, this is relatively weaksauce, it just appeals to people's sense of pity more.

Think about it though... a fine? A fine is totally pointless, "oh that man is abusing an animal, ten thousand dollar fine for him. So what? Fisherman reel up fish from the ocean, and cut them apart while they're still alive. Things like this happen all the time. I've whatched this horrible video of an apache helicopter gunner gunning down poor innocent people and laughing at them, now thats horrible because they are people. Animals are animals, and humans are the dominant race on earth, therefore cruel treatment of animals shouldnt even matter, as they do not have the thinking processees we have. People in 3rd world countries find water snakes, and cut them up while they are still alive, again i ask, so what? Torture has always existed if you think about it. Even back in the time of the dinosaurs, dinosaurs would be ripped apart while they were still alive, even though it that may be necessary for the predator, people torture all the time because we are barbaric.

AGAIN IM NOT defending animal cruelty, but I don't think it is wrong.

I long for a day when a far older and more developed extraterrestrial species invade Earth and torture humans to extinction. Would be cool to see them disassemble men, women and children alive and make souvenirs out of our skin and bones, to bring back to their home planet. Would be sweet if you were the last to go, after seeing the massacre of your family. After all, we're just dumb animals with negligently primitive technology. We are insects to them, with our little insect soldiers and little insect leaders. Our meager brain power couldn't even hold a candle to theirs.

Bottom line is this: humans are no more intrinsically valuable than bacteria.
Our value is strictly intersubjective.

Yes, we are the most powerful and most advanced animals on this little rock. Must we abandon all courtesy and compassion for weaker species for our little negligent comforts? Cows and chickens have developed nervous system, and suffer as greatly as human would in the same circumstances.

Frankly, though, I am positive that animal abuse will begin to decline as we develop better methods of growing good meat and materials in a lab. Advances in nanotechnology will help a whole lot.

All people have the god/physics given right to life and choice.

Anyway, I think animal abusing, despite their fate(food, dairy, take fur or skin, or whatever), should be punished as they have a life too. They feel. They suffer. If they're gonna get their taken away, at least make it fast.
In my most honest and crude opinion, animal abusing should be punished with eye by eye. Humanity is overrated.

All brains have the capacity to communicate with similar brains, learn from experience, and remember experiences. what defines person-hood is not merely genes or posture but the existence of mental faculties.
