Yet they attacked a 'terrorist group' who were delivering important aid to people in the Gaza strip, possibly the most dangerous place in the world. Damn, that's some mighty fine intelligence they got there.

But anyway, in a few weeks everyone would have forgotten about this and moved on. I don't think anything will actually come of this.
Oh wow ! The UN released a rather harsh statement. Best part of it is :

The security council requests the immediate release of the ships as well as the civilians held by Israel. The council urges Israel to permit full consular access, to allow the countries concerned to retrieve their deceased and wounded immediately, and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance from the convoy to its destination.

^ Especially the last sentence is very nice, it legitimates the convoys to keep helping the palestines in the future. <3

Who wouldve thought..

The terrorism accusations are clearly an invented coverup. A country doesnt survive the position that Israel is in by being stupid. No, I think it was committed to send a message, terrorism is simply an excuse.
Good work abandoning your point and going to a different topic. And no, this wasn't to send a message. It was to stop help from getting to Muslims living in the Gaza strip.

Ok, calm down. No need to be nasty.

I didn't abandon my point, I said that the Israelis knew what it was, therefore no intelligence fail. They just made up a cover story as an excuse. It wasn't a mistake.

And by stopping the aid getting there, I think they're sending quite a message by that, dont you?
They've been fighting over the Gaza Strip for the past several decades (well actually a lot longer than that whatever). They don't need to send a message. They've shown the world just how big and strong they are plenty of times.

Maybe so, but surely this is a threat to anyone who plans to side with the Palestinians?
No shit, but I was under the impression that the areas of the Gaza Strip where the aid was destined was a Hamas controlled area
