hackers sometime hack sistems for "sell solution" for repair the bug or break in the security..
but sometime the concept its only about vandalism.
There is not a reason, they heve the power to do such stuff without get caught and they do it for fun, feel powerfull.. he did for feel proud if his self.

Btw... the big problem was that the backup of the sistem was from 4 month ago.
