Computers do not just automatically connect to other networks unless they are specifically set up to do so. In other words, go into network settings and disable the connection to the other router. Also the fact that the router is in your brother's room has nothing to do with anything.

I can't it just connect to it anyways, and because it's in my bro's room it does matter, that means it's another router to connect to...

Nono, I mean, if the other router is from one of your neighbors, the position of YOUR router (which is in your brother's room) won't matter

Oye oye, in network connections odds are you'll have TWO network connections, One is your router the other is your brothers or what crap..... PICK ONE and test.

install some network managing software and set it to auto connect to your router. if that doesnt work i think you can do the same thing with windows networking

What are the specifics on your router and your wireless card?

Here's what I can tell you anyways. Go to Control Panel > Network Connections.

Now, right-click your wireless network connection and go to View Available Wireless Networks.

From here you can choose what network you want to connect to. If you're still having problems, then you can click on the Change the order of Preferred Networks button and change which network has the top priority.

K, the problem has been randomly solved.

+Rep for all, even if it didn't help.
