yea if you plan on gaming with it then you really don't need a higher end intel which costs more than amd for only a 5-15 fps increase honestly. a gtx 560ti or gtx 460 or the ati equivalent will be fast enough that you wont need the extra cpu power honestly.

if you plan on doing other work such as rendering though the extra cpu power may be needed

it's all up to what your budget is and what you plan on getting out of your computer overall

That's the same case I have. Granted my set up is pretty bare bones at the moment, but its a decent case imho. Personally I could do without the LEDs, but meh.
