A Japanese researcher made a really cool demo using meta materials, it wasn't perfect but it was pretty cool.

Western researchers are investigating using certain crystals that have been known to give the effect on a small scale, but how viable this is on a large scale is yet to be seen.

Mimicking biological methods is quite interesting. Is it really viable to embed a whole sensory network on a fabric? I am not too sure, but we could certainly use a photosensitive material to map the input from 1 side, although its a lot more complex to emulate with electronics than it is for an animal to do.
Interesting article :P

Free TC!

So do you think the military will get there hands on this and before you know it you get stealthed bombers
(I think we got the stealthed bombers already)
and Army men running through terrain without being seen?
Or isn't it that good and you can still see them just very hard like?
A picture would be nice to help show what you mean
I do believe this is what t0ribush was talking bout.

Also, souldevil, stealth bombers arent stealthed as in invisible, they are stealthed to RADAR.
the shape of the planes, and the odd angles of everything reflect the RADAR rays away from the plane, and not back to the RADAR dish. making it so they dont show up on the radar.
<~Fear> fuck, Pv2Caribou is that you?

wow that looks cool.

but let me see if i got this. when the camera detects the suit, it directly gives us a footage of the other side of the suit, as if it was standing right behind it?

so that doesn't realy work with mear sight?

It has a camera behind the person, and a projector infront of him. You can see when the busses pass by, there is a slight delay.

As of right now it would only work for hiding a stationary target, in my eyes. Im looking at this from a military perspective, it would be useful for hiding humvees, and small buildings from the enemy. Use this and Solar panels, it would be great for the desert.
