He wasn't pooping, he RAN into the bathroom. Even a six year old knows that the truth is not always good. I was 6 and when a fat kid asked me if he was fat, I said no. It looks like I'm raising my tone, but I'm not.

Ignorance is not stupidity. A six year old would not know the consequences of telling the robbers that he was calling the police.
He's not a hero, many people call the police every day. If none of them are heroes than neither is this kid.
i think it's great that the kid had enough sense to do this instead of say, throwing a tantrum. he kicked that robberers ass in his own little way. not sure why there has to be a fixation over whether he should be classified as a hero or not, though. i also have to say that i'm not the least bit impressed by the alleged performance of the parents.
kids lie and manipulate all the time, but there's a difference between expressing insecurity and being asked a question by a large, scary man with some sort of weapon that obviously posed a very real danger, even to a child. i would honestly have been more worried if the kid had actually come up with and executed a cover story.
