If we haven't established this already, creating servers (through a LAN or otherwise) without a registration key is impossible.

Also, I have had one instance (and only the one) where a member has attempted to create a server in a pre-3.0 version in recent times, and they couldn't get the system to work. At all. Support for older versions might've been dropped, or might've not.

well if you have read my posts...i know that 
so thats why i ask if theres a way to get the 2.8 version registered. because the link redirects me to a page where it says that toribash is freeware now. but i want to buy a key for 2.8 version so i can make a server

Do as they say, you can rent a server or buy one from hampa. If you attempt to buy a reg key, the people from nabi are going to reject the order and say the same thing.
Also, don't double post.
EDIT: And yes, I read the first post. it said "is there a way to unlock the old versions?" no, look above this line. Also, if you create a server on the old versions, who are you going to play with? just stare at these 2 people and one of them is filled? I don't think that's much fun.
