It's a good thing yea, but meh.

Really catching a falling child isn't heroic? That all superman and batman really do. Actually I wouldn't know but I assume.
God bless them both. If there were more heroes, that would be great if the heroes didn't get themselves killed. I mean, the woman put her life at risk.

There is a similar incident that happened when i was in 5th grade:

School was over. Our school bus came at outside of school. There were students from ages 5-6 to 16-17, approx.

Usually, kids were told to stay away from school bus but they always started running towards bus to get in quickly.

What happened ahead, was that a girl, nearly 7 years old, was very near to the bus, and bus was going to stop, then.....a little brat came and pushed that girl (because he wanted to get in bus, first), unfortunately, bus was still moving...and she fell in front on of the bus's tires!!!!!!!

You can call me "hero" because i was standing very near to her and i should have saved her by pulling her out of there, but... i was too much afraid, i put my hands on my eyes and turned my back!

Bus's tire crushed her abdominal area. She died...

I was in shock and couldn't move for a whole week.

This tells that saving a life is difficult/easy, depending on the situation.

Courage is much like a game of poker. Many of which would check, to play it safe. But, if you're confident enough, you can take a risk. Though you should know that once you do, there's no way to fold. You have to play to the end when you gamble with death.

Pretty much this.

I mean sure it's great she was there and all but to call her a hero would be a little over the top in my opinion. She acted on an instinct any Mother would have to protect a toddler from certain death. She didn't go against her better judgment, fear and intentionally put herself in harms way to benefit another. Still, cute story.
Who leaves a baby near an open window?
And I'm pretty sure it's not too heroic an effort to attempt to catch a falling baby.

These individuals do not understand the following concepts:

Acceleration.
Gravity.
Kinetic energy.
Human response times.
Human instincts.

Addendum:

[21:32] <~suomynona> "So does gravity."
