I dont really like mainstream, but i do have some songs that are mainstream and i like them.

I couldn't care less if a band I like is mainstream because if it is, the sound will be exactly the same as if it isn't. The term mainstream is pretty much a brand for anything the media follows closely, and does not have any change in the actual product.
