for me i think chicken is first

Without the egg theres no chicken and without a chicken theres no egg. So the chicken came first.

I came first, and I don't care if the chick comes at all. *grins*

Anyways, it's pretty logical to think that the egg came first. The animal which laid the first chicken egg wasn't a chicken.

Genetics of an animal do not change between birth and adulthood.
