iPhones and Android are practically identical, except; iPhones turn to shit after 2 years. Apple purposefully turns them to shit. Also Android will always have a better app store and more options.

what are u smoking man honestly, Iphones and andriods are not even close to eachother or this thread wouldn't be made contradicting the two. apple does not/cannot purposely turn them to shit they're good as long as you take care of them. and the iphone's appstore is quite extensive and probobly pretty close to about the same number of apps as the android.
Personally i'll go with the iphone, plus minibash is coming out for it

Well, apple advertises to the kind of people that tend to break technology related things easily, therefore, they sell more product.

1) Minibash is already out on Android.
2) They are practically identical, no matter if you compare UI, hardware, capabilities. (although at the moment Android is ahead in hardware due to Apple's cycle position, but expect the next iPhone to regain ground)
3) Patch 4.1 for iOS was made for the explicit purpose of nerfing iPhone 3Gs. This is a known fact.

People make these threads because they do not simply google it themselves or lack the knowledge to make a comparison.

1) Iphone, 1Ghz
Droid 1.2Ghz.... Dual Core.

2) Iphones DO NOT HAVE 4G.... ok fine, half of them do, but the people that got one with at&t already are screwed into a subscription.
Droids do.

3) It's illegal to put any other operating system on an Iphone. Apple reserves the right to press charges if you do. Anyways, there are no alternative systems for Iphones in the first place.
Droids on the other hand, they have Cyanogenmod, which in my opinion both outclasses IOS4.1 and Honeycomb.

4) Cameras
4G camera, 5MP, yes it does take better pictures.
Droids, 8 MP, lower quality pictures.... unless you want to actually zoom in. An Iphone will just distort an image while Droids have a TRUE zoom.
Video, I'm not even going to compare, Droids win that.

5) All of the apps there there are for an Iphone, there are for a Droid. That simple.

People make these threads simply because they want to see what people actually think, unlike places like CNET which are completely analytics. They want to see actual people's opinions before they buy something.

Yourface, I had a an Iphone before. I loved it because of its simplicity. Now, I have an HTC Inspire. It is so much better than the Iphone. It isn't so limited, and the apps are free, well you can download them off the internet, NOT THAT I DO. So many little features and widgets that just make droids awesome.

Also, is 4shared illegal?
