First of all, vins, don't assume life is pointless when you don't know the meaning of it. Sure, I agree, make what you want of it, but he would be making something really terrible.

Video games are meant to be a hobby, or an activity, but don't give this much into it.

I can easily relate. Too be honest I wish I could just live alone in the woods and play games, but the woods have shitty internet. Socialising? Meh, I can live in solitude for years, like I mean years. If I had a choice between wilderness and people, I would choose wilderness because I don't need people to make me feel better. Also boredom with me is non existent, I can sit for hours and not talk, I don't have sudden urges to HAVE to do something.
It's just some people are born for gaming, others for socialising, and so on. I'm born for gaming because I'm damn excellent at it. I learn fast, give me an hour on any game then I would be better than a lot of people, but not a pro, give me a half a month to be a pro.
The only reason why I can't dedicate my life to games is because well... I think games are losing their touch. Nothing is inovative anymore, just these stupid motion games and I refuse to play them. I get the socialising part in games, but really, I'm just there too kick ass.

well pretty much the same as "evildog" but I stopped school(1-2year) for this game i feel retarded.(I had 11...)
Now I changed i got to school and got a social life :/(and now I'm 16).It's way better like this.
Same I can stay in front of me screen for hour/days doing stuff without talking to anyone.
Currently trying to learn how to code and shit like that since I want to be a programmer later.I think i would be beter whitout wife/gf children thing like this :/. Playing a lots of games currently, will get a new computer because mine is outdated.
