Btw, about Final Fantasy IX. Yes, it is truly one of the best games ever made for PSX. +1 to Kristis for that.
In my opinion Xenogears, Final Fantasy IX, Legend of the dragoon and Chrono Cross are simply the best and equal to play.
Xenogears - has a very nice story, battle mode is to be considered the best at that time. Will make you interested from the start, to the end.
Legend of the dragoon, the story is unbelievable. If you start playing this game, you'll feel yourself like you're dart. Huge game. Always nice to play. Oh by the way, I love the battle mode of this game the most. Very easy to get into. Has different types of combinations for every char you play with. Unique design.
Final Fantasy was always cosidered to be the best. I love the story out there. It is like Legend of the dragoon, but has it's own story, worse with the battle mode, doesn't have combinations, but has very beautiful magic and special effects added in the whole game. Indeed, a lovely story out there. Oh and yes, the music is really perfect out there.
Chrono Cross, very beautiful game. Has the capability to be considered to have the best stories of all time. It's like, if you didn't watch Lion King while you were a child, you didn't have a nice childhood back then. Same story with Chrono Cross. Every person must play it. It is beautiful.

FF9 storyline is something that you can't describe in words. The only game that actually almost made me cry. Wonderful music, almost 30hours of gameplay, and the story is just wonderful.

And yeah, I totally forgot Metal Gear Solid. One of the few PS1 games that can be compared to FF9. The game is very fun and is quite a challange sometimes. Re-played the game few months ago and enjoyed it...Ah good ol' snake.

Finished all Spyro games aswell, friendly atmosphere, a very nice and simple game.(The funny thing is that my little brothers are actually playing Spyro 3 at the moment.)

Crash Bandicoot is a VERY great series(there are four on ps1 I think) of games. It's probably my first PS1 game. Played them, enjoyed them. Funny characters and the game is fun to play.

Anyway, if you claim that XenoGears, Legend of the dragon and Chrono Cross are as good as FF9 I guess I'll have to try those.
