thank you all!
ok, checking that site out now ishi and i just customized a pc at dell to see how much that would be... £400 with all the exact specs for EVE, is this anything in the category of what i might be looking for?
Post which items you are looking at purchasing.

And by the way, you don't necessarily need Intel, you could go with AMD and have similar (if not better) performance.
Hi. I used to be a damn good mod (wayback 2008 and earlier) and then veb made me not a mod.
Been playing competitive Team Fortress 2.
Humph. Just buy a Decent PC. Get a New Motherboard and a Nvidia graphics card. Problem solved. The store people can tell you what it can run.
toast: that would cost loads
volt: anything that can run eve (i need eve) so pretty basic
ishi: the parts added together are about £200, so im gonna teach myself how im ever gonna make it

atm im starting to hate any site that sells computers already set up... its a rip off

EDIT: k, so i found a tut and it says all i need is a screwdriver and the rest should really be self explanatory
EDIT#2: forgot to add operating system cost... raises it to 320 atleast... and thats vista... if it was XP it would be even more

Actually, before putting the parts in a case, I recommend setting it all up on a wooden desk for example. This way you can see all your components work perfectly.
Sometimes installing the motherboard wrong will break your installation, because if the board is touching the case, the computer won't turn on and in some case could destroy some new components!
Ah, I see.. Better listen to riba then, I've only put together one computer before
