Evolution is a theory in the scientific sense of the word, just like gravity for example.

I received your letter of June 10th. I have never talked to a Jesuit priest in my life and I am astonished by the audacity to tell such lies about me. From the viewpoint of a Jesuit priest I am, of course, and have always been an atheist.

Hahaha nice Robert. I wasn't trying to state my part as fact. Merely as a intresting (and rather amusing) viewpoint. But thanks for that info. Its really intresting to learn little pieces of trivia like that
Please stop shitting up the thread with irrelevant discussion. Thanks.

Firstly, there is evil in this world because if we define God as a maximum, it would only make sense that God's creation would be able to live to its highest potential. That being said, autonomy is less preferable and allows for less potential goodness than freedom of choice. Evil is the result of choices of other men, not God. Evil is was an unavoidable by-product of free will.

Secondly, the link between man and God is not a sola fide leap of faith. Philosophy, particularly theology demonstrate the idea of God as valid, and there are good arguments on both sides. Scientists aren't philosophers, and it's not their place to be making assertions on philosophical subjects.

Now, to bring this discussion back around to evolution.

That's somewhat of a trick question, as human nature is both predefined through genetics, and refined through experience. It would be hard enough to argue any one specific aspect of human nature is purely due to genetics to begin with, let alone that evolution had something to do with it.

Sure, but there are definitely some aspects of human nature that have yet to be elaborated upon by evolution, i.e. the intellect and such.
