About the rocks, fog won't really make "soft" edges like that, it will just make stuff farther back in depth be less visible. Look at any random reference to see what I mean:

Why are the trees that are significantly further away from the pov sharper than the rocks that are only a couple of feet away from the pov? Also, whilst being a foggy image, it should be blurry, but not to the point that it is now. Keep your foreground and subject visible. Some contrast bumps should dok the trick. There's is also a lack of a shoreline on the other side. That would be nice

Hey, look at the fog reference image. It should not be blurry, stuff in the background should just have less contrast.

Fog obscures things in more ways than one. Contrast reduction is one way that it obscures things, but also by blurring things as well as making things seem bigger.
