im sorry but that is such a load of crap. there are LOTS of signed producers using FL.
anyways, its not about which tool you use, its about how you use it..

When people talk about thing being bad, they often are comparing it to something else, that is in a similar field.
I mean most people wont say a BMW is a shit car, because it surely beats cheaper cars on the market, taking price out of the equation. same applies here, were comparing fruity loops to cubase. I have worked with fruity loops for a while, and also cubase, and my opinion is that fruity loops is far more limited, and easy, meaning it has less in it. Basically, it isn't good :P
