People change as soon as they get into highschool. It's a stereotype seen in a lot of movies, but is kind of true.
Sophomore in CT here.

There's a lot of racism in my high school and most people also look down on LGBT, but as long as you stay quiet you'd be fine. Not all drugs are an issue here, but weed is definitely one of them. Fights are pretty typical and they mostly occur in the bathroom where there's not a lot of cameras. Theft is huge as well.
[04:34] <siku> i can already tell you 2 are awful since piratez is a terrible clan that cares about post count above everything else
Junior year at my school in Michigan. I can tell you around here everyone talks bout sex and how much they have it; these people are lying. The people that do have sex don't talk about it 90% of the time.
Now, drugs and alcohol on the other hand... 1/3 of the school's population is on drugs (ranging from marijuana to crack-cocaine) or getting drunk every weekend.
There are a few things I can tell you about high school.

1. Peer pressure is the number one thing you'll run into. "Dude, just do it what are you a pussy?" Often leads to a bad decision that could get you in trouble. The best thing to do is ignore it. Think ahead and ask yourself how this will affect your future.

2. Just like everyone changes when they get into high school, everyone changes when they get out, too. My teacher's high school friend slapped a girl in the face with his penis while smoking a joint in the middle of gym class, and had done stuff like that regularly throughout high school. He got his shit together after graduations and became one of the top US military snipers in that time period.

3. Fights happen pretty regularly between people that (a) want people to think they're tough because they're insecure about themselves, or (b) don't think about the consequences that follow. Word of advice - if you have a problem with somebody, either take care of it responsibly with a mediator (or, in my school, we fill out incident reports that go on record without anybody knowing) or take care of it outside of school.

I know this isn't a thread about what to do in high school, but these are things that happen throughout, and therefore is somewhat sufficient to this thread.
I was typing some long ass bullshit self confidence paragraph about high school, but I'll tell you the truth. Personality is priority, as is looks. Friends and everything come next. You don't need to feed off popularity, and if you realize this you're one of the few who will make it through high school smiling. Fuck absolutely everything you've ever heard about it. It's a building filled with the most stupid and uneducated people within society.
In my school, (North Myrtle Beach High), men are random, and women are whores. Life's good, and I'm not complaining! :3 So long as I don't get HIV's that is.
Most other schools I've known have "anti-drug" crowds who dislike drugs and drug users, blah blah. At my school however, most of them are on drugs, and those who aren't don't seem to have a problem with it.

With groups, everybody always is a part of a group or one group of friends or fit into a genre, however at my school everybody seems to be friends with everybody. It makes lunchtimes and recesses a lot more interesting because you'll be with different people every day, making different possibilities blah blah blah. Groups are a stupid concept imo.
