Close 500 TC tourneys and joint textures
My suggestion Is close 500 TC tourneys forever because that affected our market too much, now everyone is rich and Its hard sell some Items.

For me the best toribash times was without 500TC tourneys, only 10TC for each win on official rooms, that was really fun, now everyone have full textures, trails etc...

Some tourneys like 7k/3k should be enough.

Also, if all people have alot of tc, whats the point of use credits?

The idea of joint textures is cool but not for all joint, because that make people edit all joint colors and that will affect market too, maybe keep only some joints like chest and pecs, also, I think 5USD its too low for that Items.

I think the learning curve along with the removal of tourneys would scare new users away even more.

I agree with shade on the joint texture's, or they should be worth more.
Removal of tourney's would probably be the down fall of this game, some people could survive off of marketting but most people would stop playing.

It's easier for the richer-than-poor users (average) to criticize the prizes & system because they're already up there on the "status ladder".

Think about the users who are roughly new to the community and are struggling to gain TC. Winning one of those tournaments serves as an accomplishment for said users, and it actually motivates them to play on a daily basis. Naturally, we want users to keep playing the game.
The reason you see these users being able to afford things is because their hard work and perseverance paid off after a prolonged period of time, which is also something we like to see.
If you think about the tournaments' purpose as a whole, you also realize that they're a great alternative for when the GMs aren't able to host, so it works both ways.
You can't expect to be exclusive with your TC forever, everyone deserves a shot.
BAD LUCK
Hunter force costs about 10k which means you would have to win 1000 games just to buy a decent force. I only play about 5-10 toruneys a day and win 2 to 4 a day so its not like i get rich in a couple of days.

Nope, these tourney rooms actually encourage many new-comers to earn TC and play everyday.

As for removal of joint textures, they don't ruin the market. A full set would probably cost 850k or so in the market, and none of the joints even reach a fraction of that. Soooo

1. everyone is rich? fuk dat. im not.
2. the only way to affect the market using joint textures is to buy ALL of them (or win all of them) costing $100 ($5 x 20 joints) and that wouldnt affect the market as i doubt many people are willing to spend $100 on virtual items. and besides, who would bother selling them? its cheaper just to buy any force and relax anyway

its a game shade, 5% for a joints texture is a lot, and people arnt going to get rich by winning 500tc tourneys, also, most players only have under 1k anyway.
FairFang Is Dumb
I think that the more they gain, the more they spend in silly things.

Before the tourneys most players had 1k-5k in their bank, now with the tourneys people still have 1k-5ks. And if the tourney prize was 1k, it would change just a bit. Turn them off is not the point.

People are still poor with tourneys; there are so many newbies and pros (both pretty hard to beat given the mods...) you can rarely win any. I've won 3 altogether, and 2 of those were from getting on early in the morning. The other one was raw luck. And that's still only 1.5k TC -- enjoy your aqua force or 3/4 of a head texture.

And for the joint textures, I think they should be purchasable with TC rather than money. You could have one with a crappy resolution (to go with 12 and another that would be decent (256) and a truly stunning one for a ton of TC (512). There are freakin' 20 of the things as well.

Also, I don't know what some of you are saying about them being hard to beat. Textures don't make you stronger, they never have. Nothing really makes you stronger than your opponent (unless you use a mod that makes you stronger) and I think the whole community would look better with a nice set of textures on. :3

This.... This is what I came through, thinking it now, I would say it was though, but great. I still remember how I bought my first item, Marine torso, it was something I had done lots of work to get it. And still I have only 128x128 body textures, so what I'm saying is that TCs are still hard to earn.

Let's keep it that way. 2 years of hard work have been paid back.
