I never had a childhood like you guys. :| never had a nerf gun. Well when I was 8 my friend gave an airsoft, and then I stopped.
Now I play call of duty instead

I have been playing with a spider-man toys till the age of 15 or so. Now, Toribash came in and I can do all that parkour and fighting stuff in it so yea... Never too old, but just don't tell it to your friends, they may find it weird (not my past experience but I think they would think so lol)

in my city it's illegal to shoot any projectile (not even from a slingshot)

What does airsoft mean? People are aware you can get blown apart by air, right?

It's just another name so teenagers can feel justified in playing with BB guns.

Strangely enough, I've heard people get into arguments over what's a "BB Gun" and what's an "airsoft" gun.
The general consensus seems to be that a "BB Gun" is any air gun that takes small 4.5mm metal pellets, whereas "Airsoft" covers 6mm plastic pellets or larger.
BB guns aren't meant to be shot at people (i.e. used for target shooting) as the metal pellets could probably do some damage. Airsoft guns on the other hand are meant to be shot at each other hence the "soft" plastic pellets - but you still have to wear protective gear, especially eye protection.

What do you mean by "justified" by the way? Minors in most parts of the world aren't even allowed to buy airsoft/BB guns anyway.
