What exactly happens in a merge? Does one clan dissolve into the other? Or is there still two separate threads? or is a whole new clan formed? I haven't voted yet because I don't really know what the results would be either way. Someone please explain.

This is how it will (most likely) be :
Urban and wHo will become one clan (final name not decided yet)
Everybody in the clan will keep his position and if not possible, new positions with similar powers are going to be installed.
All in all its like a symbiosis of 2 Clans.
