Secret Santa 2024
I don't mind a fair fight, no mater the motive. But there has to be a level of respect between the two parties. For instance, blind side hay-makers are just dirty. Just as dirty as a low blow. If you're not going to fight right, you have no place being in a fight.
I have never seen anyone who has just suggested a fight for no reason. If you mean that the guy doesn't feel like arguing and wants to fight instead I see no problem with that, I handle my shit the same way.

You should enjoy doing so while you are a kid cause when you're an adult you have to talk it out, or instant jail.

Alright, so I see many of you have your different opinions. Especially that guy b3s3v3r.
So here we go:

I am curious as to where you live my friend

I'm from the Philippines. And what I meant by "Where I come from" is my school actually. I'm betting there are a lot of other places where stuff like that happens.

There are countless reasons why one would challenge somebody to a fight, do you mean fighting without motive in a random attack or for "kicks", or using violence as a means of "sorting something out"?

Well, based on what I've seen, if two guys are arguing, one of them will just resort to fighting it off as a means to get it over with and I've noticed very many times that the challenge maker is the one who appears to be losing the argument. That's why I described them as cowardly. They're scared to be embarrassed in front of their friends so they switch to fight mode to seem cool to the guys watching and superior to the other guy.

If you have heard that a million times I would find some new friends, I guess it says alot about the people involved in the confrontation and the reason of the confrontation.
"If you in da club and some fool be krunkin' on yo' ho you ain't gonna call no fedz to sort yo' beef out, you gon' pop him one in his head and you gonna all be fightin like"

No need for new friends. My friends and I aren't afraid to exhange a few blows with those fight starters, but we do know how to resolve conflict properly. It's been a few years since my last fight(and that one was an unfinished one... crap...) but if I would be challenged again, maybe first I'd reason with the guy. Ask him if this was the best way for it to go down. If he maybe launches the first blow, that's when I get ready to pay him back.

I don't think that swear was necessary, bitch. but yes I believe the problem I stated above would infact be sorted by fist fighting

But if he was drunk, yes I'd probably just go into the fist fight. Reasoning with an agressive tipsy person isn't really gonna get you anywhere but the floor. I don't think it'd be a likely situation though 'cause I don't go to clubs and drink. Planning on staying straight edge.

You wanna feel or look tough? Is that it?

Yeah :<

Real men know the right time to unleash the fists.

We could make a feminist out of you yet, I think society has come to a point where this statement is untrue.

Woah, hold on I'm not trying to be a feminist here. I'm just saying that if males are seen as guys who fight to solve problems, they're seeing what we're not supposed to be.

Only Bob can judge me, fight me irl bruh

That's exactly what I'm talking 'bout. -_-

In response to o.t. title, people start fights for numerous reasons, all in relation to getting what they want. Life isn't all fun and games, there are children your age in other countries being shot and killed for arguing with their oppressors. Consider yourself lucky because your 'oppressor' (if you can even call it that) is only using fists. Suck it up, fight back and file a police report.

Yes, I do consider myself lucky that the "oppressors" here don't want to kill and that I can defend myself just fine. Not saying I can beat anyone who tries to attack me but I can put up a fight. I'm just annoyed that those guys pick on others who can't hold their own.

Why the hell do you guys like challenging people to fights?! I've heard you say like a million times while people argue, "Why don't you just fight it off so this'll all be over?" Well fuck that! Do you really think a fist-fight is gonna solve this damn problem? And when you yourselves challenge someone, why do you do it? You wanna feel or look tough? Is that it? Well fuck that as well! You think you're gonna look like some ripped muscular warrior acting like that? It's funny 'cause it's actually just gonna make you look like some insecure baby. Look at what you've done to the society! Whenever people look at guys, they see us as people who solve problems with our fists instead of talking it over first. Well, maybe it's okay to use fists when talking doesn't work out, but c'mon! Jumping straight into a brawl is only gonna make you look like a coward who doesn't know how to handle his life! And supposed you lose the fight. What happens then? Might as well just finish you off! Slice your head off and toss it into the ocean! To all you assholes who think fighting is the best way to go, you're all cowards!

Why do you play a fighting game like toribash then? And its peoples instinct to fight, like a few thousand years ago (or a long time) people used to settle arguments with fighting, because they couldn't speak and resolve the situation. And some people still have those instincts, and they are wakened when a situation arises.
Toribash is just a game, bro. No one actually gets physically hurt. The thing that bothers me is just the people I've seen seem to enjoy hurting other people. It's almost like I see evil in them. Because they don't want to lose arguments, they fight to seem tougher and it's sort of gone to a point where causing pain became their source of happiness and they've become insensitive to other people. But that's just my opinion. I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong here. Just wanna give out my thoughts.

My friends and I have beaten the shit out of eachother a handful of times.

Usually when we're drunk... But in the end, we're both helping eachother back up off the ground.
I think you learn something from a person you fight. I don't mean a "Hey, ur gay, i'mma fight you faggot" fight, but a bout of honer. (not trying to sound cliche)
I do not have a problem with 1v1, man-to-man fighting.
Sometimes talking doesn't work, violence is the only option. When you fight someone, you fight to hurt him *you don't say*. You will enjoy it because you feel satisfaction by hitting that person. Not always the person who start a fight is looking forward and is happy about it. He might just be tired of dealing with that person and just need to act because talking doesn't work. I honestly don't support fighting but there's so many assholes in this world that you wouldn't comprehend.
