Faster than that sometimes, one Russian dude had a tool that allowed him to get an insane amount of tc from tourneys, he banked over a million in an hour

Nope, if you just fight yourself, you get nothing. You need to have different IPs, therefore you need at least 2 computers WITH a router. Of farmers I've seen 2 or 3 times (1 got banned by a GM), they are just ingame friends and they're playing super fast rounds in a private server WITH a booster.
