it's just wrong.

I've been trying to, but it seems like i can't get any other style working..
Finished up the head, shadowing some things just as Cerberus suggested worked pretty well imo.

legs WIP.

How have you been trying? Specifically speaking, what other styles have you tried?

When you're trying a new style out it may look bad. Compared to a style you've refined and became comfortable with over the years it may look outright terrible. But just because it doesn't look good the first dozen times doesn't mean its not worth developing. Same thing goes when asking for C&C, just because you're well known as an awesome artist doesn't mean you can't post crap textures asking for advice.

Learning a new style can take awhile, but when you try to learn one don't feel like you're abandoning your old style or that you have to keep some sort of "identity" by incorporating your old techniques/designs. Start fresh if you have to. Those sorts of things will incorporate themselves naturally.

In my opinion you have a great sense of design in your textures. It'd be cool to see what you'd make if you broke your comfort zone.

I've tried plenty of things, more realistic, somewhat less realistic etc. Then i've tried different coloring and shading styles, different tools, different brushes, opacity etc. Freehand techs, and all that. Just can't get it right. :[
Thanks for the great comment and tips!
Nonetheless, legs are finished.

I like the looks of this set so far... Probably couldn't hurt to darken the shadows a bit more to make it pop better, but overall it looks pretty good. I do agree that you need to do something to cover up that back piece though lol

----

Sharpen the forhead pieces a bit more to match the sharpness of the chin pieces and see how that looks before saving. Not sure if that would help or not but it kind of looks like it was sharp and then dulled over

Danzos.

Like many others have said, you need to change your style man.

I've been here since you started, I originally loved your style, still do, but its getting to the point to where I can't tell two of your sets apart.

No improvement from your last few sets.

Exit your comfort zone, open up a request shop, and try new styles.

Good job though, I think there should be more blue on the head.

I know about my style, and i've known about it for a long time, i've made alot of stuff this styled that i haven't even published, because i felt upset about being stuck on this style.
Hmmh, i'll just promise this, after this set is completed i won't publish any more of my works until i've improved my style, that should keep me trying harder.

Altough I agree with the guys I really dig this style anyway I'd be great if you tried something new or maybe something old like this:

this

Anyway good luck finishing this set.

Completely agree, I'd buy those old ones over your newer ones any day.

Danzos, don't get upset about it, just try something new

Show us your results instead of immediately scrapping it, we can help give cnc.
