Second off, sportsmanship doesn't HAVE to be used in only sports, because it has the word sports in it :|

clicky

and lastly, in all honesty, not saying gg doesnt make you a bad person, it just shows good character(when you do say it), not just something to be saying randomly.

It got a bit tedious saying GG 5000 times, so now I only say it if the opponent says it or it genuinly was a good game.
I ain't got time for that if my opponents a sore loser.

It's different if you're good friends with the other party and are playing with them a lot, there's unspoken mutual respect
Like TIcux told me to stop saying gg to him because he can't be bothered to type it, but there's an obvious unsaid implication

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
Saying gg is pretty beta if you ask me.

Usually if I lose I will just point out why I lost, and it's usually a good reason such as luckswing or hampaball. If I win I will usually say "owned" or congratulate them on their quadruple digit rank.

I don't really see the purpace of the gg anymore, people say it all round regardless of the game was actually good or not, therefore it looses its meaning. And people expect their opponent to gg at the end of the game and if you do not do so some call you bad mannered. Its really silly. I prefer saying what they did well or saying "well played" rather than gg.

Another thing is that people act like a dick if they win, there is no point in that either. If you win you get the comfort of winning, if you loose you get dissapointed and don't want to deal with a douchebag on top of that.
Gg is the equivalent of a bow.

Doesn't matter if it's on the internet, it's called respect. Respect ones ability to give their best attempt to win.

I suggest you grow up and accept losing.

I like losing give me 10$, losing makes you learn from your mistakes, or learn another's strategies.

I say it if it was a good game. If I or the other person lost in a landslide type way, chances are I'll only say gg if they do. If it was a close match and a good game, I'll say it.

It doesn't lose it's meaning dude, the meaning of gg is still there whether or not how many times it's said.

The principle is that it's said every game. Like that obligatory feeling of saying thankyou to a friend's mum when you eat at their place.
lol
GG is not used correctly anymore. People tend to say it every after the game even if the game was not that good.
