Toribash
so, i just see youre white belt, with a join date of jul 2013.
means u are kind of new to this game, which is not bad at all.

its just that u need alot of practice to get some OK moves... also u have to understand how your tori works to reach a certain thing.
first off i would rate u to not try to copy any moves out of the real world, that is a really hard thing if u want to let it look good. so just go into singleplayer and mess around. try to understand how u can easily disember some of uke´s parts, where u have to hit and so on.
try to test around with the game rules, such as making the gravity higher (most common gravity is -30 for realism.) and the distance higher.

the game is just about practice, because it got a HUGE learning curve. so your first replays will not look that good, but with the time u will get better.

i have got a good example replay from myself, where u can see that it is pretty easy to stand up out of a laid position if u know how. also i have managed to balance my tori that way, so i can stand on both feet. which is actually another step of the balance thing. but u are fine if u just manage to stand up.
its the end of the replay, i could have extend it at this point with more matchframes. but no need because it looks already kind of good.
(to view this replay, go to your toribash folder (usually C>games>toribashX.XX>replays)just put the replay file there, and then open the game and watch it.)
i hope that i could help u. if u still have any questions feel free to ask/pm me.

If you're referring to balance in Aikido, its harder. Now if you're looking for realistic fights, look for people who spar. Just practice with Uke a bit and watch tuts.

Other suggestions I can give you would have to be to not be stiff in Aikido always be more relaxed. If you're in a tight spot and need to do some crazy movements for survival then its okay, in some cases being relaxed saves you. I guess I will just go from this and say "Practice makes perfect!" Because it does. Just practice and take other suggestions and combine all of it to make yourself a better player.

This is getting long so if you have any more Questions shoot me a PM!

I used to play a lot. Even if I were an orange belt I still gave a legitimate answer.

Thanks for all the replies over the last day or so, after reading them and messing around a bit with free play I've managed to do some pretty cool things (by a complete noob's standards). I've got a few replays here, if someone has the time then I'd appreciate it if someone could take a look. These replays aren't very impressive but I think it's a significant improvement on my old robot-like moves, the only problem I have now is what direction I fly off in, can anyone recommend a sparring mod too?

One last replay, felt so awesome watching it back, why does uke have to be so hard to hit for a new player, seems op to me, got this one lucky hit in out of probably 50 attempts to win.
