the only I can say to you is practice this happend to me when I was green belt or orange I got rly mad cause this game isnt easy so I quit toribash but then I realised I cannot leave I have to complete my goals so I came back and kept playing. I was improving myself without even knowing it . you will learn by time what every joint dose and when you master you re tori you master the game thats what someone told me when I was weak

Create a replay thread (assuming you're talking about replays here) and listen to cnc.
I do some videos
Feel free to PM me for any video-related questions
Although it is easy to say it is all about the skills you pick up through practice and experience I personally believe that being good at the game revolves around knowledge. It is hard to pick up this knowledge without practice but a lot of it can still be taught. If a teacher tells you five things you shouldn't do then this is five times more efficient than the trial and error based learning which you get from practicing. If nobody tells you how to spin your tori most effectively then you will (unless you are exceptionally lucky) have to try a large number of movement combinations before finding the right one.

When you get to a high enough level to be able to spar a bit (run and stuff) then go on multiplayer or the tutor megathread here on the forum and pester people to teach you in game while sparring when they tell you what you are doing wrong and how to fix it.

This is the most effective way of learning which I can think of.

Good luck.
