I'm quite positive it is against the rules to have a lottery and keep half the money. In fact you aren't allowed to keep ANY of the money.

Somebody tried to do this a few months ago and they were told you had to give away ALL the money you got from the tickets. Otherwise it's just a ridiculously easy way for you to make money...

Also maybe things have changed since then.

It isn't allowed, well, they accept this;

Keeping under 5% of the total for future Events only.

I'm pretty darn sure keeping at least half is against Event rules.
