This is another problem with teleportation. Sure, we could transfer the physical body, but will the transfered brain have the same thoughts, memories etc. as the one before the teleport?

I guess that if we wanted to achieve this, we would have to first find a way to digitalize our consciousness, send the data to the place where we would teleport and then let it be un-digitalized and put back into our body.

All in all it looks to me as is teleportation is something that if we get it to work, by that time, any of us on this forum won't be seeing it

Ignoring the whole destroy one body make another theme the idea of teleportation isn't at all possible with the current model of physics that we know.

It's impossible for anything that contains mass to reach the speed of light, this is due to mass increasing as speed increases (only noticeable once you achieve 10% of the speed of light) so to accelerate to the speed of light mass would increase to infinity.

This ain't really discussion material, the science behind it is impossible so unless we're completely wrong about physics teleportation is not possible.

don't think it'll ever be possible to teleport a whole human tho

edit: it's called quantum teleportation

I went ahead and added some links about it since this post would've probably had to have been deleted otherwise.

Umm.. This 'data' is only the spin of paired particle when measured at same time but at different place.. typical 'information' teleportation is far far away..
Though theoretically through space-time bending we may teleport and also time travel.. but realistically NOT POSSIBLE for the near future.

Life clings to me like a disease

If we made an exact copy of the body, the electrical signals of the brain would remain the same between the two bodies so the consciousness wouldn't have to be transported separately.

This is true, however it IS theoretically possible to travel from point A to point C without going through point B via wormholes

This is a common diagram used to describe how it works:

As you can see it bypasses the whole not going faster than light problem by just taking a shortcut through space/time

Obviously this is all just theory and has never actually been done due to the complications of finding/creating said wormhole as well as keeping it open.

Also I believe this is my first post in a discussion thread so apologies if I messed something up
I do some videos
Feel free to PM me for any video-related questions
Scientists have managed to teleport atoms, but it's only atoms, nothing else moved/moves. They're trying to develop thsi technology further but with all of the "ethical" issues it's hard for them.

Quantum teleportation isn't as simple as one thing teleports somewhere else, you wiggle one electron and its partner "wiggles" too. But they don't exhibit the same pattern so the information is not coherent.

An interesting discussion point, if you shine a perfect flashlight at the moon so it's diameter is something like 5cm, you then move the flashlight as fast as you can, is the spotlight on the moon capable of moving faster than the speed of light?

That would be like using a water hose, the light is "flowing" out of the light and would cover a wide distance if your aiming it at an object far away(the moon) and when you move it you are just splashing the area the light is directed at.

This thread seems fun,
I Don't think that Teleportation will be possible.
I don't know if our Body cells will even handle Such high speed if they MADE ONE But It maybe possible for Items but it will have Problems also.Best what can i say Let's see what will happen in future I hopping for the best.
I think that in 200 -500 years this teleportation will be possible. There is lot of multidimentional and other stuff to discover. And science developing more in log than linear scale. Solution can be found by different ways.
