You're too aggressive. Rather than insulting Kirito, continuing the discussion would've been insanely more useful than this. Especially considering ranking is more competitive than it used to be, with the #1 prize and the monthly tournament.

Anyways, moving back on topic, I don't really feel like Toribash is doing a phoenix resurrection or anything. This is simply the circle of Toribash. It goes around and around with those score few sticking to the game. A couple people join, some to none stay. Those people who stick to the game have just amazingly not lost interest, or simply came back because they missed the game after not playing for so long.

Toribash isn't really restarting. This always happens. People leave, new people come, legends rise, legends die. Why do you think we have such a long list of staff? Not everyone can hold a staff position for 8-9 years. I mean look at veb. He's one of, if not the oldest member in toribash. He was a staff member for a long time but eventually he too died and came back.
I'm just gamin' man
Toribash needs sponsors. Toribash needs official stuff that are attracting. Toribash is a unique game and will never actually DIE off. I'm sure people like NutHug, Oblivion, etc. hop on for some SP fun every now and then.

Implementing a better tutorial for begginers would be a good way to keep newbies interested, the actual tutorial just teach you the controls and one move. An explanation of how each joint works would be alright to give them more knowledge, so they don't leave just because they don't understand.
Also adding a link to the forum in-game.

Old players will leave, new players will come. That's how the community works.
Some people just leave the game and the forums, but they keep using the IRC.
It's a cycle.

People come and go. The game gets boring after awhile. And the Forum is pretty simple and bland compared to other forums. Yet I find myself coming here every day.

I think itll be fine..

"Dear reader, I hope this email finds you before I do."

What's the point in just 'posting your opinion' then not expect someone to reply in the DISCUSSION threads?

I feel people are freaking out for no reason because most the nubs who joined for 6 months from steam are leaving.
the creativity of the events and the staffs are died when hampa or veb stopped the PromoTeam

thats my opinion.

tokens sux as hell.

BUT finally the ranking system reset is great(reward)
there is nothing new in old people leaving, it happens to everything. they come and go, some for longer. only those who continue to find the game rewarding in some form will stay.

I actually agree with this. Its kinda dishearting to get all your "progress" removed every month. At least for me that has lowered my activity by a lot. Quarterly resets or bi-yearly ones would be fine. Monthly are just blatantly stupid. But looking at how well the GM team handles competitive matters I'm not surprised at all.
Of course Toribash wont die because of monthly resets, but I really feel like after the update many people are a lot less active.
