I myself hate newb moves, but only when higher belts use them. I have nothing against those high belts, it's just a bit sad to see a high belt using a move that doesn't represent the skill that they may possess. There is nothing wrong with using those move, I just find it a bit...confusing when used by high belts...it makes me think if they have even learned or made any good moves. But then again I have no problem with it.
I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.

It's purely hiveminded mentality for some of the members who complain about it. The same as buying qi, common sense would tell you that it's really not a big deal...at all. But of course, popular opinion prevails, no matter how nonsensical it is.
