Actually, maple, i used a feathered cut and did a layer of bump mapping

Emboss makes it seem more edgy, and bump mapping is rounder.

And i still haven't figured out outer glow, but i'll play with it one of these days... ;P

It looks like some kind of logo, good job. Now make some heads in photoshop :b
