Blender isn't easier, sorry for you, its actually a pain in the arse to use. Any one who have used more professional software wouldn't use blender, unless they cant get anything else.
Oh and i don't think you have used C4D to say its harder, because it's pretty well known that C4D has the best user friendly interface in terms of 3D programs.
But thats my opinion, and not the final verdict.

i cant say whats the best program, only have tried Blender (too hard!!), but with some stuff i saw, u can make that CAMP FIRE on blender.
